APPEARANCE
Door number must be a minimum 4” stroke with 18” height. Roof number must be minimum 4” stroke with 20” height. If the number cannot be read, you will not be scored.
BATTERY
Must be located outside driver’s compartment. Starters must be in working order. Must go to staging area under own power or sent to rear. ON/OFF kill switch to the right of driver and clearly marked.
BODY
Body must conform to attached pro drawings.
Aftermarket bodies allowed.
Spoilers’ Maximum width 68”, Maximum height 8”.
No side windows or air deflectors allowed.
Strictly stock appearing bodies. No bolted slab side bodies.
Maximum overall body width is 72”. Maximum body width at top is 68”.
Minimum roof height is 45”. Maximum deck height is 35”.
Roofs must be 41” – 45” long and 48” – 54” wide.
Roofs must meet dimensions and stock appearing.
Must be a full roof
Front roof supports must be 2” x 24”
No Late Model looking noses. Maximum 2” duckbill. Stock appearing nose pieces only.
Front and rear bumpers no wider than body. Must fill area inside panels.
Rear bumper cannot extend more than 8” behind body.
Bumper height must be 18” plus or minus 2” from ground.
All structural tubing must remain inside body.
Driver must be able to exit from both sides of car with helmet on.
TRUCKS:
American made rear wheel drive. No SUV’s, 4 wheel drives, extended cab or step sides. Must have full bed cover.
Wheel base 108” minimum.
Center of front hub to rear of tailgate 75” maximum.
Rear of cab to rear of tailgate 72” – 77”.
Frame height/sheet metal height 4 ½ “minimum.
Roof height 55 ½ “minimum
Top of tailgate to ground 37” – 39”.
Front and rear bumper height from ground to center 18” plus or minus 2”.
Spoiler height 8” maximum.
Top of hood to ground 35” minimum.
Body width 72” maximum middle.
Aftermarket bodies allowed.
Driver must be able to exit from both sides of truck with helmet on.
Stock nose pieces only.
Minimum roof height 55 ½”, deck height 37” – 39”.
No bolted slab side bodies.

BRAKES
Stock four wheel hydraulic brakes. All in working condition. Neal type brake assembly permitted. No shut off valves. No ratchet valves. Single piston, steel calipers only.
CARBURETOR
ONLY Holly #4412 2 barrel (500) carburetor will be allowed. Absolutely no alterations or modifications to carburetor, except for removal of choke plate. Choke horn cannot be removed. No transverse mount carburetors allowed. Carburetor must be mounted in conventional manner. Aluminum intake manifolds will be allowed. Carburetor adapter/spacer allowed, maximum thickness between carburetor and intake, including gaskets is 1.20”.
CLUTCH
NO (in and out) boxes. Must all be clutch operated with motor running and car in still position. Driver must be able to engage car in gear and move forward and backward at time of inspection. Clutch must be inside bell housing.
DRIVE SHAFT
Magnetic steel shaft only, Must be painted white and have a steel drive shaft loop measuring ¼” thick by 2” wide, located on the forward 1/3 to prevent it from dropping onto track.
ENGINE
Stock American engine. No cubic inch limit. The forward most spark plug hole may not be set back any further than a perpendicular line with the center of the upper ball joints for each manufacturer. Roller tip and full roller rockers allowed. No Roller Camshafts. Intake must have a 1” minimum inspection hole to view camshaft and lifters.
NO ALUMINIMUM HEADS OR BLOCKS.
EXHAUST
MUFFLERS ARE MANDITORY. 100 DECIBEL LIMIT. Mufflers must be welded securely in place. Loss of muffler will result in disqualification. Headers allowed.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
An operational 2 ½ pound minimum fire extinguisher with gauge visible for inspection is mandatory. Must be mounted in a quick release bracket. NO DUCT TAPE!
FIREWALL
The firewall at the front of the cockpit shall be a wall of protection against fire tightly solid from top to bottom. Not allowing air flow from the engine compartment into the cockpit. Mandatory 1/8” steel or ¼” aluminum plate must be used or driver floor.
FRAME
CARS: All pro stocks will have a minimum 102” wheelbase.
TRUCKS: All trucks will have a minimum 108” wheelbase.
All vehicles will be stripped completely of interior, except for driver’s seat which will be securely fastened to the roll cage and will be equipped with a headrest or a high back racing seat and will be subject to local track inspection.
UNIBODY CARS: Rear portion on unibody cars, starting at the leaf spring mounts. May be fabricated or reinforced. The front sub and rear clip may be connected with MINIMUM 2 “x 2” square tubing. Camaro and Firebird front sub frames of unibodied cars must be 1981 and older.

FUEL
Mechanical OEM type push rod fuel pumps. No electric or belt driven fuel pumps allowed.
FUEL CELLS
MANDATORY! Tank construction, location and mounting are subject to inspection. A leaking tank is grounds for disqualification. Must have bladder and check valve on fill pipe. Must have canister around the tank. Must have an approved loop behind the fuel cell. EIGHT (8) INCH clearance. Gas cap MUST be secured to fuel cell by cable, chain or strap. Must have rollover valve in vent tube of fuel cell.
GLASS
Windshield optional. If used, it must be safety glass, Lexan or heavy screen. No Plexiglas. If no windshield is used, a minimum of 3 windshield bars in front of the driver are required. NO MIRRORS.
HUBS & WHEELS
CARS: EIGHT (8) INCH maximum, racing wheels and 1” racing/safety lug nuts required for all wheels. No wide 5’s allowed. Bead lock wheels allowed on right rear only, if running bead lock, right rear tire must have at least 17 pounds of air after race. Magnetic steel wheels only. NO plastic or carbon fiber wheels allowed.
Trucks: 8” wheels maximum. Wide 5’s allowed (see weight rule) Trucks must be equipped with safety wheels on the right side and large safety lug nuts. Bead lock on right rear only. NO plastic or carbon fiber wheel allowed.
HOOD
Hoods must be securely fastened. Air cleaner & fire arrestor mandatory.
IGNITION
Distributor must be stock appearing and accept stock distributor cap. NO aftermarket dual point ignition or magnetos allowed. NO crank fire ignitions, NO adjustable ignition control devices, NO timing retard controls or digital gauges, including tach. NO electronic monitoring computer devices capable of storing or transmitting information except analog tach. Only stock manufacturer bolt on type parts allowed. You are allowed ONE unaltered 12 volt ignition system. Ignition must be out of reach of the driver and accessible for tech inspection. One box, one coil and one single point distributor. MSD E-Curve distributor is NOT allowed. NO electronic traction control devices.
INTAKE
Stock OEM cast iron or OEM aluminum low rise intakes allowed. Rise of stock intake above engine block can be a maximum of 4” (1” spacer). 2” spacer with these intakes: Weiland Edlebrock – Chevy #7547, #5001, #5061.
Ford #7515, #5021, #2760. Chrysler #7545, #5076.
Aluminum aftermarket intake manifolds WILL be allowed. Intake must have 1” minimum inspection hole in intake to view camshaft and lifters.
RADIATOR
Any type of radiator may be used. Must be in front of the car/truck and not extend through the hood.
RADIOS
NO RADIOS, EXCEPT MANDATORY RACECEIVERS, ALLOWED IN CAR, WITH ANY PIT MEMBER OR ANYONE CONNECTED WITH THE RACE CAR.
REAR AXLE
Any steel approved OEM passenger car or truck non-cambered rear end allowed. Safety hubs (floater) allowed. All components must be steel. Exceptions are: lowering blocks, axle cap and drive flange may be aluminum. NO adjustable lowering blocks. 1” inspection hole in housing required. Full steel spool, steel mini spool or welded rear end only. Steel axles only. NO quick change devices. One piece drive flange only. NO torque-dividing differentials, NO Gold Tracks, NO Lockers, NO scalloped ring gears.
ROLL CAGE
Must be Grand National design with upright supports. Must have halo bar. Four door bars are required in the driver’s door. Cage construction should be a minimum on 1 ½” OD seamless DOM tubing. (.095) NO aluminum tubing. The driver’s seat must be securely fastened at bottom and back to the roll cage. Must have steel plate 18” x 24” x 1/8” in the driver’s door. Must have steel plate 6” x 12” x 1/8” behind the seat in front of the trailing arms.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Snell-rated SA2005 of SA2010 helmet required.
Roll bar padding in the driver’s area.
SFI approved full fire suit required.
Neck Brace required.
Driver’s side window net 16” x 20”.
Minimum 3” wide SFI five point seat belt assembly.
SEAT BELTS
Minimum 3” wide ( 2” with head restraint system) SFI approved five point safety belt assembly required. Must be mounted securely to mail roll cage. Any safety equipment that is visibly worn or damaged must be replaced.
SHOCKS
One shock absorber per wheel. NO air coil-overs or struts on front. Steel racing shocks OK around car. One 90/10 shock OK mounted from top of rear end housing to roll cage.
STARTER
Must be in working order. All cars must start under their own power in the staging area or they will start at the rear of the event.
SUSPENSION
NO aluminum suspension pieces. All coil springs, front & rear, must be over 4 ½” diameter. Front springs must be mounted in stock location. NO adjustable sway bars. Stock type mounted, steel cross shaft tubular upper control arms ARE permitted. Screw jacks allowed. All Heim joints must be steel. NO coil-over springs, NO torque links. Steel or composite rear leaf spring allowed. NO 5th coils, NO coil-over eliminator, NO swing arm suspension. All brackets must be welded on rear end. Traditional 3 Link, traditional Leaf spring rear suspension and stock link suspension only.
SUSPENSION – TRUCKS
REAR – Screw Jacks allowed. Trucks may use one of three types of rear suspension only:
Stock style multi-leaf springs
4 bar with coil springs. Z-link OK
Mono coil combination. Maximum 42” lift bar or pull bar allowed.
NO spring steel, NO other torque arms, torque links or 5th coils. NO aluminum suspension pieces. Trailing arms and leaf spring mounts may have multiple mounting holes. Heim joints must be all steel. Coil-over are OK on rear.
FRONT – Screw Jacks allowed. Stock suspension in stock location. May run tubular upper control arms. Must have cross shaft. May interchange stock lower control arms, unaltered. May run Heim on shock only.
TIRES
American Racer P245/70D-15 tires only. MUST have MSPA stamp. Chemical alterations, vulcanizing, tire softening, defacing are not permitted. Chemicals or tire softening is not permitted at any time. Tire pressure must be at least 17 pounds on right rear if running bead lock wheel after each race.
TRUCKS: P245 American Racer; 82.0- 8.0- 15; 84.0-8.0-15; (MMA) Hoosier A40; H40
TRANSMISSION
Any transmission, manual or automatic. NO quick change transmissions. Must have scatter shield or protective plate 180 degrees around clutch. If “L” plate is used 1/8” steel plate is minimum thickness that will be allowed. NO BERT or Brinn type transmissions. Must have a drive train that can be disengaged. NO direct drive systems.
WEIGHT
3000 POUND MINIMUM. Added weight must be in plain sight, painted white or silver and must have number painted in contrasting color. NO cement or liquid style weights. Weights must be mounted with a minimum of two ½” bolts and nuts. Loss of any weight may be grounds for disqualification. No weight on rear bumper or outside body.

WRECKER HOOKS
Mandatory – Front & Rear. Cars will be pushed or dragged to infield until race program is over if there are no hooks!
Neither Wrecker Crews nor Racetrack Personnel will be responsible for any damage done to any vehicle.
STEERING
Aluminum steering quickener allowed. NO rack & pinion steering, NO straight shafts. Must have a minimum one knuckle shaft.
TRACK OFFICIALS WILL MAKE THE FINAL DECISION AS TO WHETHER THE CAR/TRUCK IS LEGAL OR SAFE.
