Kevin Fedewa Memorial for UMP Modifieds
Mt. Pleasant Speedway is hosting the Kevin Fedewa Memorial for UMP Modifieds this Friday, June 14. The winner of the 43 lap feature will receive $900.00 and a trophy. Second through fifth place finishers will receive an extra $75.00 each thanks to The Barn Door and Bill Laney. (second and third place will also receive trophies)
Kevin passed away on February 8, 2013 at the age of 43. He is survived by his wife Ginny and two sons, Spencer and Trever.
Fedewa served as crew chief for his son Trever and was a part of Kevin Miller’s pit crew as well. Miller, who was Fedewa’s brother-in-law and one of his best friends, drives the #43 UMP Modified. Trever drives the #68 UMP Modified.
Miller is currently fourth in points at Mt. Pleasant Speedway while Fedewa, who is in his rookie season in the UMP Modified class, is 10th.
“Kevin (Fedewa) was the one that believed in them when they both had their doubts. He would always give them the extra push or the extra time to make sure things where better for the next race,” said Mindy Miller, Miller’s wife and Fedewa’s sister-in-law.
Friday we will honor a man who was full of life and who made a significant impact in the lives of so many who knew and loved him.
Also in action will be the Pro Stocks/Pro Trucks, Street Stocks, Stock 4′s, Bombers, and MORA Sprints.
