Cans from Race Fans Pre-Xtreme 1000 announced!

Mt. Pleasant, Mich. — Cans from Race Fans' organizers Alvie Haynes and Jeremy Dickman, with sponsorships from several local businesses (to be announced when finalized) have announced the "Cans from Race Fans Pre-Xtreme 1000" for UMP Modifieds on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Mt. Pleasant Speedway, 4658 E. River Road, in Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.

The event will pay $1,000 to Win the UMP Modified Feature, along with $100 to start the main event. Increased payouts are also scheduled for all 20 finishing positions.

Prior to the racing action, there will be a "Cans from Race Fans" Food Drive, the second of 2011, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ric's Food Center in Mt. Pleasant where we will be having racecars on display and collecting non-perishable food items for local charities including Isabella Community Soup Kitchen, Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross and others. At 4 p.m. the food drive will move over to the Mt. Pleasant Speedway and with a donation of at least 5 cans of food, patrons will receive a discounted admission to the main grandstands.

Come out and support this great cause and race. Meet drivers, get autographs and photos taken. Fun for all ages!

Monetary donations also accepted by making checks payable to "Cans from Race Fans" and bringing to the event or mailing to Jeremy Dickman, 5120 E. Deerfield Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
